1 More Day... Yeah Right!

Yesterday we had this huge flock of birds come land in our tree.  The kids thought it was so cool.  They kept banging the door so the birds would fly away and come back.  Coen roared at them for a good 10 minutes.  I tried to get some video, but of course it was out of batteries.  It was pretty funny though.
Nick let the kids come shovel the driveway with him.  You'd have thought they won a trip to Disneyland.  They had so much fun!
For all of you who wanted a big pregnant picture...  One day til my due date & Coen decided he'd "fish" Ike out.  He's such a helper.  I'm not sure why it didn't work.  Coen is confused too.  I get induced on the 6th if I haven't had him by then.

Dreaming of warm weather...

The kids are going a little stir crazy since it's been so cold and the snow is very hard, making playing outside no fun.  I've been trying the get them out of the house, but there aren't many places to take them here.  They got a little spoiled while I had the flu, since they got to play at tons of different houses.  Reagan keeps asking me if she can go to her babysitters house and play with her mom.
Yesterday it was a little warmer and the top layer of snow a little slushy so Reagan kept asking if she could put on her makeup and shovel the snow.  We compromised by getting them into the back yard, where they tried valiantly to play with the sand in the sand box that we left out.  Oops!  The shovels were useful (for Reagan at least, Coen can't get this thumbs into the mittens, so he can't pick anything up and it makes him sooo mad!)  and Reagan had a blast throwing snowballs at the window where I sat watching them.  (It's the strangest thing, but none of my snow clothes seem to fit.)  Coen was extremely upset that we still couldn't make a snowman, but it did snow again this morning, so maybe we can get one made today.  I hope to spend the whole summer at the beach soaking in as much sunshine as possible to make up for these days of dreary cold.  The kids have their favorite beach stuff all ready to go and I am hoping for an early spring!

Here's What We've Been Working On

Coen loves having his picture taken & Reagan always wants to be in the  picture too, so we have taken a lot of pictures lately.  I think this one is the funniest so far.
Cute story about Reagan:  The other morning I woke up at about 5:30 and heard Reagan running around.  I thought, "oh man, she's had an accident."  She won't tell me ever, she just puts on pull ups and goes back to bed, so I got up and she was already back in bed.  I went to talk to her and she asked me if I had gotten the jewels.  She didn't have an accident, she had gotten up to leave a pile of her dress up jewelry in front of my door because she knew how much I loved them.  I thought it was cute.
Didn't Nick do a great job?!!  I love it!  We're still rearranging furniture, but you get the idea.  He even shampooed the carpets for me.  So now even if I don't get everything else done, Ike will have a cute clean room to sleep in.  Wahoo!

While The Boys Are Away...

For some reason it was very important that we wear this a lot that weekend.  Usually it was on her head though.  She's also very big into poses as you can tell.
Nick & Coen went to Cincinnati for Dallin's Eagle Scout Court of Honor, so Reagan and I got to play all weekend.  We started out with a trip to the library and then a trip to the store to buy all the junk food we could handle.  That night we made her favorite dinner and watched Hello Dolly, just like Wall-e.  The next day we cleaned, went shopping again, and in the afternoon made these cute little picture frames.  She was so excited to do a craft all by herself.  Now she sings some of the Hello Dolly songs.  It's pretty funny how she arranges them in her head.
Here's Nick & Coen at the Court of Honor.  We're so proud of Dallin!  He did a great job!  Thanks Oma &  Opa for the chance to be there with him!  Coen enjoyed all the spoiling attention he received, thanks Becky & Jordan!
