What's New

First one to call me wins!
So, I've been tired lately!!!  Good tired, but tired all the same.  I'm due February 28th (not a leap year luckily).  I'm almost 10 weeks now and looking good- not me, the baby.  Reagan is certain we're having a girl (I'm pretty sure she's right) and will be named Ariel Barbie.  Hopefully she'll like what we pick out instead and won't be too disappointed if she gets another brother.

Summer Fun

I found Reagan helping Coen take a nap... or bath.  She covered him in bath soap (and most of the toys and the playpen and herself).  Then threw tons of his toys in the play pen so they could bathe too.  Isn't she so helpful?  He obviously loved it.
This is a little bit more fun for the both of them.  I do have to fill the pool with hot water, but they have a great time pouring water on each other.  Then the football goes in and they try to stand on it and not die.  At least I think that's the game.
We went to the river today with some friends.  Reagan actually got into the water a little ways and made a huge mess in the sand.  Coen walked around with his life jacket on- screamed if I tried to take it off him- and did nothing.  He eventually let me get him into the water up to his knees.  I think he had fun though.  We got to see some ducks and a couple of dogs, he loves to bark at them.

Reagan's Real Imaginary Life #2

This is just me doing a little overdue maintenance. I'm going to put them in the same place (July 08) so I can find them easier.

Reagan found a kit kat wrapper the other day (yes, I opened the halloween candy early) and came marching in to see me. She had it in one hand and her other hand was on her hip. She said "this is a chocolate!" I said "it could be" and she said "What have you been eating? Show me your tongue." Busted.

I told Reagan she could play for 10 more minutes before bed, but she talked me into letting her play for two 4 minutes instead. She drives a hard bargain.

Whenever we go to Tubbs Hill, Reagan wants us to look for dead princesses. Nick asked her why they were dead and she said "because I shooted them with my gum." We aren't allowed to take them home.

Reagan's brownies:
You put a little bit of chocolate, then some butter, then some cookie frosting and you're done.

Nick told her that big girls don't cry and she told him they do until they get home then they stop.

Everything is this month. If I tell her we're going to the beach tomorrow, she says "but I want to go this month!"

"I want to watch a cooler movie!"

"You want to see the coolest thing you never ever saw?"

Reagan and Nick were watching football when she looked up at him and asked "Did you burn my black dress with flowers?" Nick said no and she said "You can't burn my dress!" So Nick said it was on the wood pile and she said "But it matches my black sparkly shoes!" Nick said "Well in that case we won't burn it." Reagan said "but it has a hole in it. We need to fix it. We'll use lots and lots of tape."

"I can't, I'm too tuff" is her excuse to not clean her toy room.

Reagan asks everyone she knows "Do you remember Hailey?" If you ask her what her favorite word is, it's Hailey. When we watch out the window for Daddy to come home, everyday she says she saw Hailey drive by. Can you tell that she misses Hailey?

"I don't want to put my pants on, my legs are freezing warm!"

Reagan- "What's that?"
Me- "A burrito."
Reagan- "I don't like burritos. I like burrito friends."
Me- "What's a burrito friend?"
Reagan- "They have bigger arms than their mamas. They have princess families and they have lots of dress ups that they love to share with me."

On the way home from the lake this week, Reagan said "Daddy, would you just love to see Melody (her friend) at the grocery store?" Daddy replied "that would be a dream come true." Reagan then said "Cinderella says that."

We went to the baptism of a girl in my class today. Reagan ran up with the other kids to watch. When she went under water Reagan jumped up and running to me said "I don't want to get baptized!"

I asked Reagan if she had finished her yogurt and she said "I emailed it to me."

Reagan's Real Imaginary Life #1

The side bar of quotes was getting too big, so I'm archiving them so they won't be lost forever. I'll keep adding to the side bar and just periodically archive them.

We have the audio 7th Harry Potter on the computer desk. For the last several days Reagan has gone over to it, picked it up said something like "look it's scary potter" then turned it over, screamed, dropped it like there was a spider on it, ran away and hid. The picture of Lord Voldemort scares her and she won't come near it for the rest of the day. Then she does the same thing the next day.

It was time to get ready for bed so she began stalling. Instead of going to get her jammies like she was suppose to, she came in wearing a blanket around her head and told me she was the wicked witch. I let her play for awhile and then told her even wicked witches need jammies. She misheard and screamed "I'm not a wicked mitch, I'm a wicked bitch!"

Reagan had to go to time out. She got up, so Nick put her back a little forcefully. She started crying and Coen woke up, so Nick went to get him. While he was in there Reagan said in a crying stuttering voice "DDDaddy is not my ppprince, Coen is." Her ultimate insult.

Today on the way home from swimming lessons Reagan was quite upset, she had found out that Mermaid was sick. She needed "a bambaid, a popsicle, a sucker, and an underella."

We were saying prayers the other night and she asked that "daddy not know how to get dressed." Nick and I couldn't stop ourselves from laughing. She was trying to say that he wouldn't get stressed.

I told Reagan that her daddy loves her and she said "Oh, daddy! I love you King Triton!"

Our personal favorite is when Coen was sick and had to sleep in our room for a few nights. Reagan started crying during the night & when we went in to see what was wrong, she was standing up with huge tears streaming down her face. She just kept saying my prince is gone. I can't find my prince. He got away. She missed her brother.

One day we were out for a walk and needed to get home quickly. Reagan kept stopping and I couldn't get her to hurry up. Finally I told her I was going to go home and drink all the milk. She started crying and running. She beat me home.

She thinks that dancing is getting married, so she is continually demanding that random people marry her.
